So I saw Twilight

Published by tvjunkie50 at 6:47 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I was not a reader of the books and kinda had no interest in seeing the movie but my best friend read the books (and for some reason still wanted to see the movie, which baffles me) and I didn’t want her to have to go the movies alone.

She would’ve gone alone last weekend but I felt since she had to deal with seeing her self-destructive ex boyfriend because of me (long story) and since she’s been working her tush off for little pay at Macy’s, not to mention she might have to go alone to the Thanksgiving Parade this year because she wants to go and her family doesn’t want to and they are all equally stubborn, it was the least I could do to stay a good friend.

The dialog is juvenile and at times the characters just stare at each other like morons. Sure it’s a great romance if you are a tween but for me it was less than enthralling.

I read book 1, and yes, I agree, it’s for tweens. I’m a solid Laurell K. Hamilton fan, and Kim Harrison fan, but I try not to let that blind me to other up and coming series. Twilight the book is pg rated, and I won’t watch the movie until it comes out on dvd.
I’ve watched the series, True Blood, and liked it, so I’m willing to give Twilight a chance at least.
