Kristy Lee Cook’s WHY WAIT
I am a big fan of American Idol and will admit, though she was not the strongest female vocalist, there were times that I truly enjoyed seventh place finisher of season seven, Kristy Lee Cook. For what she lacked in vocal talent, she certainly made up for in drive which is probably why she was the first member of the current crop of performers to release her Album (First runner up David Archuleta released his album November 11, and winner David Cook’s came out a week later, while K.L. Cook’s Why Wait came out over the Summer while the top ten were still on tour.)
I have to admit; the album is strong and includes her cover of God Bless the USA. While she will not be the greatest country singer to ever exist, maybe not even the greatest to come out of Idol, she certainly is enjoyable.
