DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
Desperate Housewives was amazingly exciting last night. Up until the last minute there were about seven characters who viewers thought might die in a nightclub fire. Then, Linnet’s son was accused of arson and I found myself screaming at the TV, “No it’s Edie’s creepy husband.” I’m not even a person who talks to the TV usually.
There were two subplots that, while I suppose were necessary for time, I found useless. One was Bree was being interviewed about her upcoming cook book and the interviewer dug up gossip about her, much to the character’s disdain. While the show is loaded with fun revelations, none of the gossip was new if you were a long time viewer.
The other one was Susan’s daughter Julie returned for a visit from college (the same college she left for 5 years ago/ last season, interestingly). She brought home her new boyfriend who was older than Susan, and needless to say, mother was not happy. However, she dumped the guy- played by Jeffrey’s Steven Webber- half way through the show.
